A Child Carer
This is one of the most important positions on the staff. Our service is 24/7 and to be able to give quality care we need quality people to play the role of "mommy" for the children admitted to the Shelter. Our total budget for salaries in the Shelter is R 1,157,719 for 2007. The South African Government gave us a grant to pay our 2 social workers and we fundraised the salaries of the nurse, the therapist and and assistant therapist.
